The Ferrari of Yoga

Rama Yoga StudioThe Ferrari of Yoga by F4W’s co-founder Krsangi Davis:

One day I was talking to friend about different yoga classes in Boulder Colorado and I asked her what her favorite style of yoga was. Her response was so spot on for me. She said, “Kundalini Yoga, it’s the Ferrari of Yoga!”

I couldn’t have agreed with her more. What a sexy, cool way to put it, I thought to myself. In my humble opinion Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of all yogas. Instead of just comfortably walking down your path, Kundalini yoga has you skipping, jumping, and even sprinting down your path getting you closer and faster to the ultimate goal of becoming full of bliss and inner knowledge or self realization.

Most of my Kundalini training and experience has come from one of the most conscious beings I know, she is a Boulder native, loved by her community and a renowned Kundalini yoga teacher, named Trista Sukhraj. I have been studying with her at The Little Yoga Studio in Boulder Colorado for the past 6 months now. Her classes are always jam packed because no one wants to miss out on her amazing energy and Shakti that she brings to everything that she does. Her classes are powerful and deeply healing for all who are present. I can definitely say that my life has significantly changed since becoming a student of hers.

Getting to know Trista Sukhraj has been a wonderful gift and a beautiful adventure for me. Our studies together recently grew into the work place when Tammy and I, here at Fortune 4 Women decided to offer our video production services to Trista Sukhraj. So after speaking with Trista Sukhraj and her assistant Pavi, one of her devoted students, we made a plan to film her. On the day of the shoot I felt like we were able to capture Trista Sukhraj sharing some amazing life secrets and energy rising with her Kundalini yoga moves, which have the power to enhance peoples every day lives.

There was magic in the air when shooting her that day, though I do believe that mystical energy comes with just being around Trista Sukhraj. I was jazzed and grateful to have been a part of it.

It was a great pleasure and joy to work with someone so totally grounded in who they are and what they are here to share. Our time with Trista Sukhraj was super sweet and getting to record some of her deepest thoughts down was such a beautiful experience. The exchange of love and appreciation that we had for each other was a priceless opportunity for all of us. It was truly an honor and humbling experience to be of service to another amazing women entrepreneur. I hope there is much more to share together with her in the future.

If you are looking to start up your spiritual Ferrari and hit the fast track, come meet Trista Sukhraj at her NEW RA MA Yoga Institute Studio off 28th Street in Boulder Colorado or check out her website peace-flow-yoga.com and see some of the work that we did for her. Ganesh

Congrats! You made it to the Startup Marketing Foundation – Part 3. In case you’re new to our site, Fortune 4 Women is a Boulder based company that helps women free their creativity and pursue financial freedom. Our average customers are moms between the ages of 30-50, are creative, self-aware, inspiring, earth lovers that are hungry to pursue their passions in life (personally and professionally).

We want you to know that the information in this 3-part article is coming from a genuine place. We have over 25+ years of combined entrepreneurial experience, starting and owning several successful businesses. In a nut shell, we are an inspiring network of women that is evolving, healing and co-creating together.

As long time entrepreneurs over the years we have seen some drastic changes in how people are doing business. Some choose to stick to the “old fashioned” way of starting and running a business because it’s familiar and comfortable. Others are eager to learn the latest methods because they realize that the older ways of growing a business isn’t serving them as well as the newer methodology or they are simply young and it’s all they know. Whatever direction you decide to go is totally up to you. We are not here to tell you what to do.

Your work is to discover your work and then with all your heart to give yourself to it. ~Buddha~

Believe it or not there is much more planning and preparation required to achieve long-term results in today’s business world. Therefore, it’s going to be extremely beneficial for you to trust someone to help you get clear so that you can chart a course and comfortably maneuver your way there. We hope that Fortune 4 Women can be that “someone”.

STARTUP MARKETING FOUNDATION – PART 3

  • Define your mission and philosophy statement – get clear!
  • Think outside of the box! Be creative and use interns, do co-ops, use equity in return for work.
  • Unique content is “Queen”, so create it and SEO it!
  • Don’t be everything to everyone in the start.
  • Know what you’re doing! Focus, Focus, Focus!
  • Get all of your Social Media Channels up and running and a Newsletter dialed!
  • Scientifically target your audience!
  • Create a 90-120 day launch plan.
  • Create an editorial calendar – prevent going radio silent.
  • Constantly refine your strategy & goals
  • .
Getting on the radar takes work! Know who is writing or reporting about things in your industry and introduce yourself. Media people are a great ally! When the time is right you can be a great resource for them.

Try not to give your “secret sauce” to everyone. You can talk to people without telling them everything. Soft introductions work really well and can allow you to get another persons perspective on your idea. If you haven’t decided on your business entity this would be a good time to nail that down along with any potential co-founders or partners.

Keep your personal Facebook page private! Facebook has a way that you can create lists of people to feed specific content to and we highly suggest that you learn how to do this. We will be teaching a workshop on this specific topic so make sure you sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop.

As always, there is much more to do and learn when starting and growing a business in today’s world. This video interview at Harvard i-Lab with Kate Castle and Jodi-Tatiana Charles goes over startup marketing foundation steps and is well worth the watch. There are some great resources at the end of the video that we highly recommend you tap into as well.

Don’t forget to share this post if you find it to be of value to someone in your circle.

    Fortune4 Women

STARTUP MARKETING FOUNDATION – PART 2

Fortune 4 Women LLC lives in Boulder, Colorado and helps women free their creativity in order to pursue financial freedom. We do that a number of ways yet over the past year we have had an incredible opportunity to build an amazing women’s circle. Through this circle we have learned that when it comes to starting a business that there’s a ton of companies offering startup knowledge yet most of them lack quality information. In our search we have found that most companies offering startup marketing advice are… startups themselves, coaching other startups with very little experience and most of the other companies out there are actually teaching marketing techniques from as little as 5 years ago that no longer work as well in today’s world.

Fortune 4 Women has over 25+ years of combined entrepreneurial experience, has started and owned several successful businesses, has experience becoming a national author, has studied Harvard’s Branding techniques, Brendan Burchard’s marketing courses, completed GKIC-Dan Kennedy’s information marketing courses, completed Robert Kiosaki’s business course, completed Kaiscapes Social Media course, Russell Brunsons Marketing Funnel course, tons of related workshops and so much more. Since the early ’90’s’ we have made millions of dollars and truly know what it takes to build a successful business – back then, and now.

Through the years we have also become knowledgable in registering Trademarks, Copyrights, Legal Contracts, Non-Profits, Event Planning, Joint Venture Agreements, Financial Analysis, Property Management, Photo/Video Production, Yoga Studio Management, Professional Teaching, Team Building, Project Management, Web Programming, and so much more… We aren’t trying to “TOOT” our own horn, nor are we saying that we know everything, yet what we do know is that our entrepreneurial experience can truly help those who are ready, willing and able to learn from us. What each of you choose to do with the information after that is totally going to be up to you.

It is our sincere hope that you take this information and soak it up because it is coming from a heart-felt place of sincerity and desire to help other women be the best that they can be, doing what they love. We can’t tell you how many times we have spent our money in all the wrong places because we ourselves did not have legitimate mentors to learn from. We literally had no options other than to do it on our own and in the process we have endured some very painful, and near fatal lessons.

Today, if you’re a woman starting a business we want you to know that you are not alone. You no longer have to join the all to familiar rat race or spend your hard earned cash in all the wrong places just to “launch”. Fortune 4 Women is a company that you can trust to deliver the quality information that you need to build a successful business that can maintain long-term results.

We truly hope that each of you find this article series helpful. This is part 2 of 3 in our Startup Marketing Foundation series. If you missed part 1 you can read it here .

STARTUP MARKETING FOUNDATION – PART 2

  • Don’t talk to anyone until you’re ready (only friends and family)!
  • No matter what you’re doing, don’t lie.
  • Be clear if you’re in the “beta” phase (which isn’t stealth mode).
  • Launching a business with nothing “there” is a BAD move.
  • Public is “public”, be prepared to talk to the press (or keep your Beta tight).
  • AVOID a “No Comment” when speaking.
  • HAVE A PLAN! Who you are, who is your audience, what is your goal, what is your key message, who is your spokesperson).
  • When ready, get your community engaged! Have a salesperson if needed. Just know WHO you’re going to! Find them (college, YMCA, reporters, festivals etc.).
  • WHO are your influencers? If it’s bloggers invite them into your beta.
  • KNOW YOUR BUDGET!
  • Build your Website!
  • Build your own list of reporters and feed them (consider using the Embargo method)
  • Find a reputable, trustworthy resource to help guide and assist you in the process.
  • .
When confronted about entrepreneurial business matters we often think about all the tasks involved in getting to the launch point and it’s hard to speak freely about those tasks without overwhelming the person we are trying to help. There are literally tons of puzzle pieces to discuss and teach when it comes to starting a business. This article series is only the beginning of our journey to help you become prosperous and we know that if you trusted us to mentor you that you would become wildly successful for the long-term ride. You just have to allow yourself a realistic amount of time to get there.

By the way, if you’re still on the fence about us just know that the information we have shared with you above is backed by the Harvard Innovation lab (Harvard i-Lab), Kate Castle-VP of Marketing for Flybridge Capital Partners and Jodi-Tatiana Charles-CEO & Brandographer at LaCapoise Galerie and Founder of The Embargo List.

We will be posting a part 3 to this post along with a 2-hour video with Harvard i-Lab, Kate Castle and Jodi-tatiana next week so make sure you sign up for our newsletter below or follow us on our Social Sites so that you don’t miss a beat!

STARTUP MARKETING FOUNDATION WORK – WHAT’S FIRST?

Fortune 4 Women is a Boulder based company that helps women free their creativity and pursue financial freedom. Our customers are moms between the ages of 30-50, have honest intentions and are hungry to pursue their passions in life (personally and professionally).

One of the things that set us apart from other companies is our ability to connect women together through a woman’s circle which is a healthy way to get the emotional support we often lack in our daily lives. This form of connection is extremely important because our pasts need healing, the evolution of the planet is not slowing down for us, being married (or divorced) is hard work, taking care of kiddos and the demands of work has somehow consumed our days to the point of depletion. Basically, we are running around taking care of everything and everyone more than we are taking care of ourselves which neglects our spiritual self and eventually leads us to depression, emotional upset and despair.

Through our women’s circle we have learned that in the business world there is a lack of quality information around starting up a business or launching a product. Therefore, we felt that listing out the foundation of building a business would be helpful. Our list is coming from over 25+ years of combined entrepreneurial experience, starting and owning several successful business, becoming a national author and studying Harvard’s Branding techniques, Brendan Burchard’s marketing courses, completing Dan Kennedy’s information marketing courses, completing Robert Kiosaki’s business course, completing Kaiscapes Social Media course, Russell Brunsons Marketing Funnels course, tons of workshops and so much more.

In a nut shell, as a business woman you can either choose to take this information to heart, or not. Choose to read it yet decide to stick to the “old fashioned” way of doing things or simply turn your cheek because you are not interested in what we have to offer you. Whatever you decide is totally up to you. We are not here for fame or glory. We are simply here out of the “people helping people” philosophy. We sincerely care about you and want to help you tap into your creativity and pursue it. The old methods of marketing are gone so it’s going to be extremely beneficial for you to trust someone to help you with your professional goals. We hope that Fortune 4 Women can be that “someone”.

STARTUP MARKETING FOUNDATION WORK – Create a worksheet or whiteboard this out!

  • Discover what your pain point is that you want to solve.
  • Who is your user, customer?
  • Develop a 1-minute elevator pitch (who you are, what you do and who your customer is).
  • Develop a follow-up pitch (what your pain point is, who’s doing it that not’s nailing it and how you are better).
  • Test it (explain to different age groups, audiences, countries etc.)
  • Figure out what is your biggest business impact (customer acquisition, recruitment, PR)?
  • KNOW your demographic!
  • Put some thought into your name and do a trade-name search before you register it!
  • Secure all social media channels in that name.
  • Start building relationships with those who are SPONSORING entrepreneurs.
  • Write reporters names down that are covering your industry or product.
  • Stay active on Social Media!
  • DON’T rush to launch! Continue reading

Can I get a “hells yeah” for an amazing pre-Halloween Girls Night Out with team Fortune 4 Women!

On Friday the 24th of October 2014, it was a jammed packed day for Fortune 4 Women, I started the with usual morning of taking the kids to school, then grabbed a Chai at my favorite North Boulder tea and coffee shop, Logan’s. If you haven’t been there yet it has a super laid back vibe with cool rotating art every month.  Then I jetted off to meet Tammy Ash Perkins at our Friday morning ritual Kundalini Yoga, with our beloved teacher Trista Gipple at the Little Yoga Studio. It was an awesome class as usual, with high-energy and good spirits.

Next we were off to Alfalfa’s market, where they make a killer all organic smoothie, which is divine. We then grabbed a few things for dinner with a plan in mind in providing a squash pumpkin soup, some salad, and a cheese and veggie plate for our girls’ night out pre-party.

After Alfalfa’s we were off to the Halloween costume shop, one of my favorite pastimes in life is dressing up so I always have a blast when I’m at the costume shop.  Plus we were headed to the annual Exotica Erotica Ball at Shine in Boulder Colorado, which means super fun super sexy Victoria Secret all the way costumes, which is totally up my alley.

This was a perfect pre-Halloween event for our Fortune 4 Women Girls Night Out because it’s an anything and everything goes kind of night and it lets us women express the many aspects of being a sexy, beautiful, goddesses.  At this event don’t be surprised if you see women dressed half naked and men too. There are lots of sexy lingerie, tights, wigs and Halloween costumes but this party is more about exploring your Erotic side that is often left dormant within you. As women, I believe that it’s really important to be able to express that part of us, and the Exotica Erotica ball provides the perfect venue outlet and safe space to do just that. At last, we finally picked out our sexy little outfits for the evening, Tammy ended up with a hot bumblebee outfit and I was heading towards a Victoria Secret runway model all in neon pink, wig, gloves, and all.

Afterwards we were off to pick up the kids from school, then to my house to prepare for the pre-party extravaganza. We were having seven amazing women come over and get ready. To spice things up and just for fun, I hired a palmist and tarot reader John Graham to give everyone some insightful projections into their lives. Oh, I couldn’t resist adding one amazing Brother to take our photos and to be our designated driver-bodyguard… Yes! I now believe we were all ready to party.

As we cleaned and prepared the house I pulled out the arsenal of costumes that I have collected over the years through my dancing and performances. We created a nice mood in the home with candles, low lighting and eye candy ambiance. As the girls all began to arrive one by one we started that timeless girly process of getting ready together, and fulfilling the time old question being asked over and over again of “what should I wear”.  I had a vision for one of my friends to dress up as a sexy tantric Indian princess and with a little persuasion I felt as though my vision was complete. Dressed in a sheer beaded red long dress with a beautiful headpiece and jewelry to boot, she looked amazing! Everyone was pulling out the all the stops, with hair, glitter, nails, make-up, wigs and more. I felt like all of our outfits were all such a great and beautiful expression of our individuality of our own goddess self. It was pretty fucking awesome for all of us to let down our hair and see the sensual side of ourselves come out to play.

Sexing it up felt so good and was much needed.  After a few hours we were finally ready for some group photos together. Time to go strut our stuff and dance the night away. Man I don’t have time to tell you all of the crazy details of the night, but what I would like to leave you with is that we all left that party pretty juiced up on life, feeling sexy, beautiful, and free.  We danced our Asses off, enjoyed the music and had a blaster, as I like to call it. I realized how important it is for women to get their groove on every once and a while in order to feel sexy, free and alive again.  It may have been just another Girls Night Out with Fortune 4 Women yet for me personally I got to let it rip!

    Women Female symbol

    The Spiral

The Ancient Feminine Spiral is one of the oldest symbols of spirituality. Ir cooresponds to the “circle”, an ancient of the goddess representing the womb, fertility, transformation, and the evolution of the universe.

The spiral is an intricate part of our philosophy and therefore we have enlisted the help of an artist to create a custom rendition specifically to use as our logo. We truly believe that in order to empower and serve women across the globe that it starts at the core and therefore we are embracing the female goddess, it’s symbols and energy in everything we do.

Keeping it real is our Modo while transforming women into modern day heroes. It only took us what seems to be a lifetime to get here so we are anxious to get going and can’t wait to start cultivating a brand new tribe of dynamite women!
